Game to watch vs. Royals, 1:05 p.m. Monday, CSN, 670-AM

The Royals are first on the schedule for the Sox, but the grudge match between the South Siders and Twins will have all the attention. The Sox won the American League Central with a 1-0 victory against the Twins in Game 163 last season, and that still isn't sitting well in Minnesota.

VICE CLOSER: Right-hander Bobby Jenks is the Sox' closer, but the team is so confident in left-hander Matt Thornton right now that if Jenks needs a rest or a tough lefty lineup is due up in the ninth inning, don't be surprised to see Thornton get a few more save opportunities this season.
