Fed: Notifications of toxic spills under review by SA govt
The South Australian government says notification procedures for toxic spills are underreview following the discharge of radioactive liquid from the Beverley uranium mine.
About 60,000 litres of ground water containing sulphuric acid and uranium gushed froma burst pipe on Friday at the mine, 600km north of Adelaide.
